The design inspiration for the campus is taken from the structure of a shoe and it’s physical manifestation guides the form development of the built habitat. A strong contextual response is formed by integrating passive design features along with respecting the challenging topography of the site with a goal of minimal intervention by the built onto the land. High-performance shoe technology features have translated into ventilation, form, support, etc., in turn forming energy-efficient building features like daylighting, flexible openings, etc.
