NEW DELHI, DELHI

CLIENT : DHAYA MAJU INFRASTUCRE
SCOPE : ARCHITECTURE

Representing the true tenets of Malay architecture, the proposal for the Malaysian Embassy in India intersperses the past with a modern building identity and materials. The design attempts to showcase the growth of the nation, while representing its rich cultural and traditional building heritage. Taking into consideration the context and geographical setting of the site, the final design is a manifestation of both Malaysian and Indian architectural influences.

The traditional roof structure of Malay architecture has been incorporated, while being executed through contemporary techniques and materials. Other elements such as jaalis, minarets, stilts, and high ceilings augment the Malaysian character of the design.
