Designed within a cultural and botanical nexus, the Botanic Garden of the Indian republic is dedicated to the connection between people and plants that combines multiple programs and systems to emphasize sustainability, education, and conservation. It is also a major center of attraction for eco-tourism through the development of special innovative features. Programmatically, the project includes components such as Woodlands, Arboreta, Water bodies, Display sections, Experimental plots, Nurseries, etc., as well as certain civil structures such as administration building, herbarium, Conservatory, Research & Development block, Interpretation center, Museum, Reception counters, Café, Parking complex & Gazebos on a prime land measuring 164.85 acres.
The project is designed as a natural extension of the ground landscape that was nested into an existing berm. The architectural design unites culture, space, and nature reflecting the fluidity in form and function.
Mimicking the topographic contours of the land, the architecture reunites indoor and outdoor space to achieve a state of universal harmony. The design’s iconic free-form fluid structures seamlessly flow into the surrounding landscape and garden areas
