Sachin Sachdev is an architect from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. In the year 1998, while he was still in his third year of college, he conceptualised VYOM, meaning undefined space in Sanskrit. From its humble beginnings, VYOM is now a fifty-eight people organization and is India’s leading architectural design practice, working across diverse typologies to craft meaningful spaces.
“Till there is no room for experimentation, there is no room for greatness “
Sachin’s passion is driven by excellent project delivery, quality both in terms of the services and the product on time, infused with the best industry standards of safety, human resource, and efficiency. His continuous efforts and professional ethics over the years have always been applauded by many of his clients with whom VYOM has collaborated on its largest and most challenging projects.
Under the tutelage of Sachin, over the years, VYOM has done diverse projects, such as building the largest Net Zero R&D Campus in the world for Indian Oil, ABB’s and India’s largest Wind Mill Generator factory, the Casino Pride (casino on ship in Goa), The Vermont Estate - a 150-year-old property and now a boutique hotel in Mussoorie, four FDDI institutional campuses at Chennai, Hyderabad, Ankleshwar and Guna, apart from numerous other offices, commercial and residential projects.
Delving into the limitless, undefined space to piece together a spatial experience that creates meaningful spaces - post commissioning, designing and having built, more than a few hundred projects, Sachin and his team at VYOM, still remain as enthusiastic and as passionate about the next design, as they first started in 1998.
